Artsy Weekending

We have a pretty neat art scene in Central Florida and there is always festivals popping up here and there. This weekend was all about soaking up the art! Saturday I spent the morning at the Epcot Flower & Garden Festival. It’s truly amazing what they are able to create! My favorite was definitely the Beauty and the Beast pieces. I didn’t have much time to spend but plan on going back before the end of the festival. I spent Sunday afternoon at the Winter Park Art Festival. Good friends, frozen lemonades, lots of food and rows and rows of art! It’s a really cool local festival! Do you have any unique art festivals in your city? I’d love to hear about them! Soaking Up the Florida Sunshine

I have been doing a great job lately with not cramming so much into the weekends and taking the time to relax and unwind from the hectic work week. This is a huge deal for me because I have always been the type of person to go go go and plan something for every spare minute I have! On Saturday, we had absolutely beautiful weather: mid-seventies, sunny and breezy. So, Jeff and I took advantage of it and went out to the beach for a relaxing morning. We have lots of nearby beaches but we chose to go to Jetty Park this time. Jetty Park is a great spot because they have parking, a pier to fish off of and watch the cruise ships go […]

Favorites: March 2017

Ibotta App So, I’ve had this app on my phone forever but had only done one or two rebates until recently. I’ve started trying harder with coupons and saving money here and there and have gotten so many rebates in the past few weeks by checking the app before I go to the grocery store, it really is awesome! Corrine on The Women Tell All via GIPHY Although she is completely neurotic, she is the most entertaining thing to happen on The Bachelor. I’m sure we haven’t seen the last of her. And hey, I’m all for […]

Reflecting On International Women’s Day

The last few months have been a whirlwind for me! From frantically planning a wedding throughout the holidays, to cruising to the Bahamas, then taking a trip to Nashville to support family through a major surgery, all while trying to keep up with a demanding job…I’m not sure how I’ve managed to breath, and definitely have not been able to squeeze in working out or practicing yoga or blogging or cooking, all the things I love! Man, adulting is really hard, and trying to balance it all to be the perfect woman is really really hard! And I’m no where near perfect! But, as I’m thinking about International Women’s Day and what it means to me, I couldn’t help thinking about the blogging community. I […]

Life Lately

Life has been a bit crazy lately because….WE SET A WEDDING DATE! And it’s in less than 60 days!! I couldn’t be more excited to marry the love of my life but there is so much to be done in the next two months, plus the holidays! Needless to say, we have a lot on our plate, but I’m enjoying every minute of it! Besides wedding planning, I’m currently… LOVING that Starbucks Red Cups are here!! It makes me feel so festive! DRINKING Flat Tummy Tea. I’ve seen so many celebrities and influencers endorse this tea cleanse, so I figured what the heck because I’m really working hard on slimming and toning right now and will take any help I can get! WEARING cardigans and […]

Friday Favorites in October

Fall Weather. My first favorite is that we are actually getting some cooler weather! We had a gorgeous weekend last weekend and it’s been cool afternoons and even cooler mornings since then. I had lunch outside and went on a run outside this week and it was awesome! It’s SO getting me in the mood for the holidays! Let’s just hope it can stay like this and not go back up to into the 90s. #Floridaproblems Fall Recipes. Bring on all of the spaghetti squash and slow cooker recipes! Yum! We made this recipe a couple of nights ago and it was healthy and delicious!  Fall TV. I have not been disappointed this season, so many good shows to watch. I’m obsessed with This Is Us! And […]

Adventuring Through Boston

I had an opportunity to explore a new city in September and it did not disappoint! Jeff and I had never been to Boston so when his sister moved up there this summer we took the first chance we could to go up and visit! What I loved about Boston: The History. It’s just a really cool feeling to walk on streets that American legends walked on too. The Weather. Fall is a great time to visit the northeast. A cool breeze and sunshine…it was a wonderful break from the Florida heat! The Food! Travelling and eating out on a gluten-free diet isn’t always the easiest but the food was delicious every place we went and it was overall a VERY gluten-free friendly city. My favorite […]

Show Us Your Books {October}

Let’s talk about books! Here’s what I’ve read over the past few months: First Comes Love by Emily Giffin 4 stars I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review. I really enjoyed this one. It was a light, easy read but a page turner at the same time. The story is told from the two very different perspectives of sisters who experienced a family tragedy. At first, I had a hard time relating to either them but they both grew on me. In the end, I liked the way it all worked out and the central themes of this book. I think Emily Giffin is always a safe bet.   All the Missing Girls by Miranda Megan 4 […]

Hiatus Over – What’s New

I’m back!! It’s been so long since I’ve posted but my little break is over and I’m happy to get back to blogging! Since I started a new job in May, I’ve been working a lot more hours and had some trouble keeping up with everything. I finally feel like I’ve gotten into a routine and I’m starting to find balance. Linking up with Kristen and Gretch for What’s New seems like the perfect way to catch up! Here’s what we’ve been up to in these past few busy (but fun) months: Went to a couple of Orlando City games. Ladies nights with good friends! Visited Mickey a few times for some sunny days at the parks. July 4th at Wekiva Island, complete with a giant blow […]

Livi & Tate

This past weekend I got the chance to go to the Grand Opening of a really cute boutique in Downtown Clermont called Livi & Tate! I pretty much wanted to buy EVERYTHING! I definitely plan on going back many times and it is the perfect place to treat yourself or to pick up a gift. I absolutely loved it! These three lovely ladies run Livi & Tate and are so sweet, they can answer any question and have great recommendations! I was so impressed by what they put together. There’s a candy section with every cotton candy flavor you could imagine, Cabernet chocolates, waffle with syrup lollipops…is your mouth watering yet? 🙂 There’s a bath and body section with all kinds of things to treat yo’self […]
