Life Lately

Life has been a bit crazy lately because….WE SET A WEDDING DATE! And it’s in less than 60 days!! I couldn’t be more excited to marry the love of my life but there is so much to be done in the next two months, plus the holidays! Needless to say, we have a lot on our plate, but I’m enjoying every minute of it! Besides wedding planning, I’m currently… LOVING that Starbucks Red Cups are here!! It makes me feel so festive! DRINKING Flat Tummy Tea. I’ve seen so many celebrities and influencers endorse this tea cleanse, so I figured what the heck because I’m really working hard on slimming and toning right now and will take any help I can get! Fall Weather. My first favorite is that we are actually getting some cooler weather! We had a gorgeous weekend last weekend and it’s been cool afternoons and even cooler mornings since then. I had lunch outside and went on a run outside this week and it was awesome! It’s SO getting me in the mood for the holidays! Let’s just hope it can stay like this and not go back up to into the 90s. #Floridaproblems Fall Recipes. Bring on all of the spaghetti squash and slow cooker recipes! Yum! We made this recipe a couple of nights ago and it was healthy and delicious!  Fall TV. I have not been disappointed this season, so many good shows to watch. I’m obsessed with This Is Us! And […]

Adventuring Through Boston

I had an opportunity to explore a new city in September and it did not disappoint! Jeff and I had never been to Boston so when his sister moved up there this summer we took the first chance we could to go up and visit! What I loved about Boston: The History. It’s just a really cool feeling to walk on streets that American legends walked on too. The Weather. Fall is a great time to visit the northeast. A cool breeze and sunshine…it was a wonderful break from the Florida heat! The Food! Travelling and eating out on a gluten-free diet isn’t always the easiest but the food was delicious every place we went and it was overall a VERY gluten-free friendly city. My favorite […]

Show Us Your Books {October}

Let’s talk about books! Here’s what I’ve read over the past few months: First Comes Love by Emily Giffin 4 stars I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review. I really enjoyed this one. It was a light, easy read but a page turner at the same time. The story is told from the two very different perspectives of sisters who experienced a family tragedy. At first, I had a hard time relating to either them but they both grew on me. In the end, I liked the way it all worked out and the central themes of this book. I think Emily Giffin is always a safe bet.   All the Missing Girls by Miranda Megan 4 […]

Hiatus Over – What’s New

I’m back!! It’s been so long since I’ve posted but my little break is over and I’m happy to get back to blogging! Since I started a new job in May, I’ve been working a lot more hours and had some trouble keeping up with everything. I finally feel like I’ve gotten into a routine and I’m starting to find balance. Linking up with Kristen and Gretch for What’s New seems like the perfect way to catch up! Here’s what we’ve been up to in these past few busy (but fun) months: Went to a couple of Orlando City games. Ladies nights with good friends! Visited Mickey a few times for some sunny days at the parks. July 4th at Wekiva Island, complete with a giant blow […]

Livi & Tate

This past weekend I got the chance to go to the Grand Opening of a really cute boutique in Downtown Clermont called Livi & Tate! I pretty much wanted to buy EVERYTHING! I definitely plan on going back many times and it is the perfect place to treat yourself or to pick up a gift. I absolutely loved it! These three lovely ladies run Livi & Tate and are so sweet, they can answer any question and have great recommendations! I was so impressed by what they put together. There’s a candy section with every cotton candy flavor you could imagine, Cabernet chocolates, waffle with syrup lollipops…is your mouth watering yet? 🙂 There’s a bath and body section with all kinds of things to treat yo’self […]

Confessions of a Shopaholic

Lately I’ve been a bit of a Shopaholic. I almost never online shop but I’ve been doing a little of that and spending some time at the mall and outlets. I think it’s just the transition into summer that makes me want to refresh my wardrobe and get some things we’ve needed for the house. Here’s some of my recent purchases that I don’t regret buying! Picked up this adorable Wanderlust Watch on sale from Happy Trunk. I got the tan band. Treated myself to a new Kate Spade purse and am absolutely loving the color and pattern for summer. I haven’t worn non-skinny jeans in years but I’m happy that the flared style is back in. I got a few really comfy pairs from […]

What I’ve Been Reading (June)

Maybe in Another Life by Taylor Jenkins Reid 5 stars  When I saw Kristen’s review of this book I knew it was right up my alley and I loved it! It’s the classic tale of how one decision can completely change the course of your life. The book opens the night that Hannah Martin moves home to L.A. after years of moving all over the country for various reasons. That night, the decision to go home with her high school sweetheart or to go home with her best friend after a night out leads her on two very different paths. From the opening, each chapter switches back and forth from one life to the next and I liked how this allowed the two stories to […]

Where is the Love?

I usually try to keep it pretty upbeat on the blog but today’s a little different. I started this post on Saturday morning feeling unbelievably sad after hearing the news of Christina Grimmie’s shocking death. Little did I know I would wake up the next morning to the sound of helicopters and check my phone to find messages asking if I was okay and seeing the horrific, disgusting news of so many lives senselessly taken in the middle of the night. I know terrible things happen every day, every minute even and we are constantly faced with violence, disease and tragedy. We live in a broken world and I know that. And I believe that my God has a beautiful Heaven waiting for me free […]
