Weekending: Fall Favorites

This weekend was the best one of the fall yet! Started each morning with my favorite pumpkin spice almond creamer – this stuff is seriously so good! And it only has 3 grams of sugar, what!? Saturday was family day – I’m going to miss my parents for Thanksgiving this year since they’re traveling out of state but we spent the day together Saturday to make up for it. A family photo shoot Saturday morning, breakfast at Briarpatch on Park Ave and then the Festival of Trees at the Orlando Art Museum. I’m so thankful for this day with my family, we hadn’t done it in a while! Sunday, I got to host my first ever Stella & Dot Trunk Show! I’ve absolutely fallen in […]

November Book Reviews

Looking for a Thanksgiving weekend read? Here’s three books you should pick up: Midnight at the Bright Ideas Bookstore by Matthew Sullivan After seeing this quite a few times on past linkups I was really excited to get a copy to read. It lived up to my expectations and was really good. It’s the story of a woman who works at a bookstore trying to solve the suicide of a friend. In looking into his life, she has to confront her past. There’s something about characters who have a love for books within a story. You can definitely relate to them. I didn’t see the twist coming but it wasn’t too outrageous. It was a quick read for me. Received a copy from Netgalley in […]

Sick Day Survival Guide

With the ups and downs of the weather this season I feel like I’m battling a cold every other week. Rarely do I completely stop and take a sick day but sometimes it’s inevitable. Whether I’m out of commission for a while or just trying to make it through my normal routine while feeling unwell, there’s always a few things that I must do to get back to 100%. Hot Tea with lemon and honey. My favorite tea when I’m not feeling great is red rooibos. It’s caffeine free so I can have it any time of day. It has a very medicinal quality but I actually really enjoy the flavor. Lots and lots of water. Whenever I feel a cold coming on I drink […]

Catching Up

Happy November! I can’t believe the holidays are just around the corner! The last few weeks have been me catching up from an incredibly busy end of summer. Here’s what the last few months looked like: Cheered my mom on at her 10 miler! So proud of her! Celebrated the hubbys birthday! Survived Hurricane Irma. Took advantage of Magical Dining Month and had an incredible date night! The pups kicked off football season. VACAY! (More to come on that) Helped my beautiful sister get ready for her very first homecoming <3 Went to a Fall themed wine and paint night. Celebrated my favorite little man’s first birthday. Spent a girls weekend at the Epcot Food & Wine Festival! Every other free minute has been taken […]

TSwift Favorites Playlist

I’m not a crazy, spend all day deciphering a tweet type of Taylor Swift fan but I do like her and most of her songs. And I love a good throwback from her country days. With the news of her new song coming out today and a new album on the way, I thought it would be fun to share my favorites from each album 🙂 1989 – Blank Space Red – Everything Has Changed Speak Now – Mean Fearless – Love Story Taylor Swift – Tim McGraw Honorable mention: Shake It Off – I quickly tired of the song but it has the BEST video! What’s your favorites? Are you excited for some new Taylor material? I know I am!

HelloFresh Review: On a Gluten-Free Diet

Holy Moly! This week has been a doozie! Work has been pretty fast paced and my nights at home seem to fly by. Luckily, we had a HelloFresh delivery on Monday so I haven’t had to worry about what’s for dinner. I thought it would be the perfect time to share about our experience with HelloFresh so far. We’ve been receiving HelloFresh deliveries for the past 3 months or so. The great thing about the service is that you can skip a week or cancel at anytime. Sometimes we will get a bunch of weeks in a row and sometimes we’ll skip a few weeks in a row, it just depends on what recipes they are offering that week and what our evening plans look […]

Friday Favorites: August 2017

  Favorite App – Unroll Me OMG this app is a lifesaver if you find yourself ridiculously backlogged in personal emails as I do! It scans your email and allows you to unsubscribe from any you don’t want to keep all at once. It also lets you roll any of the subscriptions you do want into one “roll-up” email per day.  It will scan your email initially and then each day for any new subscriptions that come through. I unsubscribed from over 90 emails in just a few minutes! Favorite Finds This off the shoulder dress. These adorable suede wedges. This budget friendly scalloped tote bag. And this really cute statement necklace. Favorite Links Funny Kate Middleton moments – I really would love to be […]

Show Us Your Books {August 2017}

I always think I’m going to have way more time to read in the summer but it didn’t really happen so I only have a few books to share from the last couple of months. All I would recommend and all very different! Into the Water by Paula Hawkins – 4 stars I went into reading this a little unsure because I heard such mixed reviews. Girl on the Train was such a hit that this book had a lot to live up to but it was completely different and definitely deserves to be evaluated as such. I really enjoyed it. Yes, there were way too many characters and points of view to read from, I could have done without a few and just read […]

Weekending: Welcome Home & Wedding Dresses

This weekend was non-stop but filled with lots of celebrating! On Saturday we had a surprise party for my brother-in-law who just returned from his deployment. It’s so great to have him home safe and sound and we are all so proud! Hearing him talk about his experience and how grateful he his to be home with some everyday conveniences really makes you stop and appreciate our country and the people who serve it. I made him a banner and cupcakes! Sunday was another special day, this time I got to join one of my best friends shopping for her wedding dress. She tried on so many beautiful options and I think she chose the perfect one! It was such a fun day. I’m going […]

What’s New {August 2017}

One of the great things about linking up with Kristen and Gretchen for What’s New is that it’s a perfect time for me to jump in when I’ve been MIA for a while. The last month has been a blur and I can’t believe Summer is quickly coming to a close. Luckily, we will still have 3 more months of summer weather here in the sunshine state 🙂 July Happenings: I got some great news at work for a promotion! It’s something I’ve been working towards for the last year and I’m really excited for the new opportunity. The last few weeks have taken up most of my energy with interviews and the stressful waiting game but I finally got the good news and now I’m […]
