Halloween Weekending

monday morning

Happy first Monday of November! It doesn’t feel like November at all, it’s supposed to get up to 91 degrees today! What is that!?  I just want to be able to wear boots and scarves.*sigh* Oh well, we had a fun Halloween weekend to keep us in the Fall spirit!

Friday night, Jeff and I had a much needed date night. We haven’t had much time together lately since he’s been really busy at work and it seems like we always have something going with friends and family on our time off. So, I was really happy to have some time for just the two of us! We took the dogs for a walk around Lake Eola downtown and then headed to World of Beer for dinner and drinks. I got to try a pumpkin cider and it was delicious!

After dinner, we went home for a scary movie marathon but didn’t last very long. We were both exhausted and passed out halfway through the first movie.

Saturday was a great day! In the morning, I woke up and went for a run. I can’t tell you the last time I’ve worked out on the weekend and I need to make it a habit. It’s the best way to start off the weekend. After that, I got a mani/pedi and ran around getting all the stuff for our costumes. Procrastination Nation over here. Next, I had to go home and do some baking for the Halloween party. I made a jack-o-lantern cake and mummy meatballs. The mummy meatballs were a #pinterestfail but the cake came out pretty good!

Finally, it was time for the Halloween party! We went as Jon Lennon and Yoko Ono. Jeff and his British accent were so hilarious! I just wish I took more pictures, I guess I was too busy having fun!

Sunday was recovery day. We went out to breakfast, took a nap and then I did my usual Sunday evening tasks. I’m ready for another busy week!

How was your Halloween weekend?
