For the most part, I had a much needed low key weekend. The past few weekends have been packed full of good times with friends and family so I was grateful for the time to recharge.
My weekend started off unexpectedly early on Friday afternoon but not in the best way. Jeff had an accident while doing yard work and cut his foot pretty badly so I ran out of work to meet him at Urgent Care.
My poor guy! Nine stitches later he’s doing okay!
Once he was taken care of and settled in for the night, I snuck out to meet some girlfriends for dinner and drinks at one of my favorite restaurants; Cooper’s Hawk. It was delicious as always!
The rest of the weekend was far less eventful. I had a meeting Saturday morning and then spent the rest of the day trying to get Jeff to stay off his foot. He’s not exactly the best patient…but he got a good amount of rest and is on the mend!
Saturday night, I made some yummy Turkey Chili for dinner and we had a Redbox and chill night.
Sunday was another easy day. First church, then I got some cleaning and housework done. I’m really trying to get things in order since all the family will be here for Thanksgiving. Sunday night I got some me time and settled in with a book, red wine and popcorn.
I’m reading The Dinner by Herman Koch. I’m finally getting more into it but it was a slow read at first and I’m still not too sure about the story line…has anyone else read it?
Wishing everyone a great week! How was your weekend?
