The November Birchbox was a Guest Editor box from Youtube beauty star Tati Westbrook. I was excited to try it because I’ve seen her on YouTube and she’s gorgeous. Here’s what I thought of the GlamLifeGuru box.
Pros: Non-greasy, dries very quickly, super lightweight.
Cons: Has a slightly sticky texture and did not feel super hydrating on my skin.
Verdict: I would not buy. I’ve determined that I much prefer a gel or cream moisturizer for my face.
Jouer Lip Enhancer – $16
Pros: Super-moisturizing. Makes lips soft and fuller.
Cons: I wish I had more of it!
Verdict: Will be purchasing! I absolutely loved this product, I have super dry lips (especially in the morning), I put this on before bed and it was a big help.
Pros: Creamy yet lightweight texture and minimizes the appearance of dark circles.
Cons: A little on the pricey side.
Verdict: Would buy. Although I prefer cream moisturizers for the rest of my face, I really like eye serums. Especially this one that has an unusually creamy textures. Even though it’s slightly expensive, a little goes a long way with this product.
Pros: Completely eliminates oil and refreshes hair while adding some volume.
Cons: Leaves a white, flaky residue.
Verdict: Probably would not buy. I have to say, this is the most intense dry shampoo I’ve used, the spray comes out so strong it’s like a fire extinguisher. It’s effective in soaking up oil but leaves a residue and just doesn’t work the best with thick hair texture.
Pros: Love the creamy texture and was long lasting without creasing. I also loved the golden shadow, perfect for my green eyes.
Cons: I only got to try one of the three colors of the trio.
Verdict: Probably would buy. It really liked the texture and rich colors of this shadow. The stick is also perfect for mornings when I’m running behind.
Overall, pretty good picks. The Lip Enhancer is a must-have and I’m so glad I tried it!
