Happy Monday my friends! I’m feeling pretty good going into this week…I’m looking forward to a conference at the end of the week for a huge charity that my company supports. I went last year for the first time and it was truly amazing so I’m excited to go again but I have to be very productive in the office today and tomorrow. I had the perfect weekend to prepare for a big workweek: a balance of fun, productivity and relaxing!
Friday night I hit the gym after work and then hit my bed and did. not. move. I really needed a lazy bum kind of night and got to catch up on a bunch of shows. Saturday morning I slept in, which I feel like I haven’t done in forever, and had a nice relaxing morning with some coffee and reading while Jeff was off fishing.
Then I went on a run – the weather was gorgeous all weekend – and I got some house work done and had lunch with a friend. Saturday night we had a laid back date night. We went to see Deadpool – HILARIOUS!
Sunday we spent the afternoon at the local farmer’s market and took the dogs with us this time. They love being out and about. Did I mention that the weather was too perfect this weekend?
We stopped for lunch at Graffitti Junktion and I had a delicious Buffalo Chicken Salad. Scotch was OUT pretty much the whole time we were there.
Afterwards, we came home to relax (the dogs were pooped) and Jeff made us a smoked fish dip from the fish he caught Saturday morning. It was AMAZING – I’ll definitely be sharing the recipe!
It was one of those weekends that remind me how great the weekend can be! I’m feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the week!
