{Thursday Thoughts} What’s New…

What's New With You

I’m linking up with Kristen and Gretchen to share what’s new!

Lately, I’ve been having a bit of bloggers writers block 🙁 I have lots of post ideas and drafts but can’t seem to find the motivation to finish any. I think I need to implement a serious writing routine to get the creative juices flowing. I also think of a million and one post ideas in the shower and can’t seem to remember any when I get out! Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me?

I’m only on Day 3 of my Whole30 and I messed up! I accidentally ate corn in a vegetable medley for dinner last night, completely forgetting that it’s a grain not a vegetable, and I almost cried. I decided to not technically start over like you’re supposed to because that would have resulted in me emotionally eating a tub of ice cream last night, and probably completely giving up but I’ll add two days onto the end…

I’ve officially signed up for a membership with audible. I did my free trial a couple of months ago and got through Pretty Girls really quickly (crazy, good thriller btw) but I decided not to do the membership because I didn’t like the idea of paying for books that I don’t get to physically have and add to my future dream library. Well, I decided that it’s worth it, because I can get through audiobooks so much faster, listening at work, in the car, while I’m doing housework. So, I used my first credit for a book that has been at the top of to-read my list: Me Before You! I got through the first six chapters in one day!

We have no vacations plans set and I’m getting a serious case of wanderlust. I feel like I always need a vacation planned to have something to look forward to on those long workdays…

I watched eight episodes in a row of Fuller House last Friday, it was like I couldn’t stop. But I’m making myself wait to watch the last few because I’m going to be so sad when it’s over! I was kind of surprised with some of the comments made in the show, it’s not quite as wholesome as the original but I still loved it!

I won my first giveaway ever from one of my favorite fashion bloggers: Darcy from A Memory Of Us! So, so excited!! I love following along with her because she shares outfits that are totally my style and I feel like I could actually put together. Thanks Darcy!

That’s all that’s going on with me. What’s new with you?

Also linking up with Joey, Jessica, Annie, and Amanda.

  • Such a bummer about the corn! At least you’re still at the beginning so it shouldn’t make that much of a difference. Good luck with the rest of the Whole30 🙂 I hope it goes really well for you! Thanks for linking up with Kristen and me, and I hope you get some blogging inspiration!

  • ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh GUESS WHAT!!! sorry, i’m really excited. audible is having a CRAZY amazing sale right now – 200+ books for $5.95 each. i’m not supposed to be shopping, but whatever, i’m not passing that deal up!! i bought 4 and then put my membership on hold for 90 days haha so i’m not charged again for a couple months. you should have a look! better than $15 that’s for sure!

i haven’t watched fuller house yet. i remember re-watching the original a few years ago and there were a lot more adult jokes than i remember when i was a kid.. haha. but i guess i wouldn’t have got them when i was a kid anyway.

that sucks about your whole30 setback but oh well! its not like you ate the ice cream, how bad can corn be?!

thanks for linking up with us girl!

    • Oh! How did I miss the audible sale!? That is amazing! I will definitely have to check it out! Thanks!
And you could be right, there might have been just as many adult jokes in the original Full House and they just went over my little kid head LOL Seriously, since when is corn not a vegetable? I guess that’s what I get for skimming the rules… 🙂

I literally just wrote a post about Brainstorming for blog content. I find my best material comes when I’m cleaning – BUT they do make notepads for the shower!! Maybe look into that. I definitely have times when i have an entire outline for a post, but I just can’t find the inspiration to write it out. Blogging is hard! I find that forcing myself to sit in a quiet space for at least 30 minutes (no people, no TV, no music, no internet if I can!) really, really helps in forcing me to just get started. Because once i get started I’m usually golden!

    • I think that’s exactly what I need to do! Set aside time, ideally the same time every week and focus solely on blogging. Thanks Morgan!
