Friday Favorites: June 2017

Oh man, it has been a rough week. I had some dental work done on Monday and have been struggling ever since. Thankfully, the weekend is almost here and although it never seems to stay that way, I don’t have too much planned. I’m looking forward to some rest, just trying to stay positive and count my blessings. On that note, here’s some favorites from this month:

1. Father’s Day

We had a simple yet very special Father’s Day this year. We started with breakfast out with Jeff’s grandfather and at night we had one big, blended family dinner at Chuy’s. We are so lucky to have three supportive dads to celebrate.

2. New Restaurants

I have been all about trying new restaurants lately. I shared about my great experience at The Sanctum. We also tried another local spot this week for dinner: Maxine’s on Shine. Delicious! A perfect date night.

3. Probiotics

I’ve been reading about implementing probiotics into my diet for some time now. I’ve tried the pills in the past but haven’t stuck to it. I recently picked up this probiotic juice from Publix and was really impressed. Pretty tasty! I easily drank the recommended amount each day. I’m thinking about trying to make this a regular part of my diet, I’d love to hear more thoughts on probiotics, share with me!

4. No-Bake Cookies

Peanut butter, oatmeal, chocolate no-bake cookies were a frequent treat growing up. We made a batch of these last night and they were a great pick-me-up! I forgot how much I love them. Plus, they have oatmeal so they count as healthy, right?

5. Life Songs

I have been turning to music when I’m feeling stressed and these are a few songs that are on my playlist for when I need some encouragement. They were on repeat this past week for sure.

Linking up with Amanda, AprilAndrea , and Tif.
