HelloFresh Review: On a Gluten-Free Diet

Holy Moly! This week has been a doozie! Work has been pretty fast paced and my nights at home seem to fly by. Luckily, we had a HelloFresh delivery on Monday so I haven’t had to worry about what’s for dinner. I thought it would be the perfect time to share about our experience with HelloFresh so far. We’ve been receiving HelloFresh deliveries for the past 3 months or so. The great thing about the service is that you can skip a week or cancel at anytime. Sometimes we will get a bunch of weeks in a row and sometimes we’ll skip a few weeks in a row, it just depends on what recipes they are offering that week and what our evening plans look […]

Friday Favorites: August 2017

  Favorite App – Unroll Me OMG this app is a lifesaver if you find yourself ridiculously backlogged in personal emails as I do! It scans your email and allows you to unsubscribe from any you don’t want to keep all at once. It also lets you roll any of the subscriptions you do want into one “roll-up” email per day.  It will scan your email initially and then each day for any new subscriptions that come through. I unsubscribed from over 90 emails in just a few minutes! Favorite Finds This off the shoulder dress. These adorable suede wedges. This budget friendly scalloped tote bag. And this really cute statement necklace. Favorite Links Funny Kate Middleton moments – I really would love to be […]

Weekending: Welcome Home & Wedding Dresses

This weekend was non-stop but filled with lots of celebrating! On Saturday we had a surprise party for my brother-in-law who just returned from his deployment. It’s so great to have him home safe and sound and we are all so proud! Hearing him talk about his experience and how grateful he his to be home with some everyday conveniences really makes you stop and appreciate our country and the people who serve it. I made him a banner and cupcakes! Sunday was another special day, this time I got to join one of my best friends shopping for her wedding dress. She tried on so many beautiful options and I think she chose the perfect one! It was such a fun day. I’m going […]

What’s New {August 2017}

One of the great things about linking up with Kristen and Gretchen for What’s New is that it’s a perfect time for me to jump in when I’ve been MIA for a while. The last month has been a blur and I can’t believe Summer is quickly coming to a close. Luckily, we will still have 3 more months of summer weather here in the sunshine state 🙂 July Happenings: I got some great news at work for a promotion! It’s something I’ve been working towards for the last year and I’m really excited for the new opportunity. The last few weeks have taken up most of my energy with interviews and the stressful waiting game but I finally got the good news and now I’m […]

What’s New {July 2017}

This week has been a blur…working Monday, off Tuesday which was spent at the beach all day and then work again Wednesday…I’m so off my game and in a daze! Hopefully I can get back on track this weekend. June was filled with trips to the pool, beach and just hanging out and spending time with friends. Looking back I realized I did a terrible job taking pictures this past month, I think I’ve just been enjoying the laid back summer atmosphere. Currently I’m: Eating…Muesli! I just discovered this and have been eating it overnight oats style, so yummy! I had never heard of it before and got a rebate back with my handy Ibotta app so I thought it would be the perfect time […]

Friday Favorites: June 2017

Oh man, it has been a rough week. I had some dental work done on Monday and have been struggling ever since. Thankfully, the weekend is almost here and although it never seems to stay that way, I don’t have too much planned. I’m looking forward to some rest, just trying to stay positive and count my blessings. On that note, here’s some favorites from this month: 1. Father’s Day We had a simple yet very special Father’s Day this year. We started with breakfast out with Jeff’s grandfather and at night we had one big, blended family dinner at Chuy’s. We are so lucky to have three supportive dads to celebrate. 2. New Restaurants I have been all about trying new restaurants lately. I […]

The Sanctum Cafe

This weekend I had the opportunity to try a spot I have been dying to get to: The Sanctum Cafe near Downtown Orlando. My friends have raved about their coffee and gluten-free options so it has been on my radar and I finally got a chance to see what it was all about. According to their website, they are a one stop shop in Orlando for delicious coffee, espresso & tea, non-GMO and Organic Food, Craft Beer & Wine, & what have been described as “the best freakin’ smoothies in the whole world”. They’re a vegetarian restaurant with most options being vegan and the majority of the menu is also gluten-free. They were founded on the idea that healthy food can also be wildly well […]

Link Love 6.16.17

I finally caught up on TONS of blog reading this week, my Bloglovin’ feed is finally zeroed out woohoo! So, for Friday Favorites I’m sharing some posts I loved: Life Lessons We Learned from College Interns on Cupcakes and Cashmere – a great reminder to take chances, follow your passion and prioritize relationships. Audrey Hepburn’s Former Mansion is for sale according to Elle Decor and it’s magical. Especially the living room library. My future dream home… Burnout to Bliss: How to Organize Your Email from Bloggers Get Social – as terrifying as it sounds, I think I should declare email bankruptcy. I’ve never thought of it like that before but I have over 10,000 emails to clear out (crazy, I know) and the only way may […]

3-Day Weekending in Siesta Key

There is a reason that Siesta Key has been voted America’s #1 Beach – such a great place to spend a long weekend. It’s a beautiful beach with tons of activities, the most delicious places to eat, great happy hours and a large supply of vacation rentals for both couples and families. We’ve been a few times and love going back. This past weekend we stayed with my family for a long weekend celebrating my sister’s 14th birthday and although we had some unfortunate and uncharacteristic rainy weather it was still a great trip! Where We Stayed  You MUST stay in Siesta Key Village – it’s the best part of the Key! We always stay in this area when we go, it’s on the tip […]

Girl Chat: Summer Staples

I’m linking up with Emily for a little Girl Chat today talking all about Summer Staples! I love chatting about this today because one – as I’ve mentioned I’ve got some serious summer vibes going, and two – it’s my Friday and I have a three day weekend at the beach planned, so summer essentials are definitely on the mind! 1st up is this Origins A Perfect World Moisturizer. I’ve been using this every morning. It’s perfect because it has SPF 40 so I wear it both under my makeup and as sunscreen for a beach/pool day. It’s a little thick but is really great for refreshed, glowing-like skin. Like any Florida girl, sandals, tank tops and shorts are most definitely summer staples. Old Navy […]
