{Wedding Wednesday} Our Wedding Cruise

This month we hit six months of marriage…I can’t believe how fast the time is flying by. I’m a terrible blogger and never really shared too much of the details of our wedding right away because the months following were a crazy time! But hitting the sixth month mark has me reminiscing about that special weekend! Get ready for picture overload! 🙂 We got married in January on a 4 Day, 3 night Royal Caribbean cruise. We had over 20 friends and family spend the weekend with us. The wedding itself was pretty low key and we had a blast celebrating all weekend! Day 1 – Port Canaveral The first day we met up with all of our guests on the ship and passed out […]

Weekending: Orlando Eats

All I can think about from this weekend is how much food we ate! A nice family dinner, a BBQ, late night bar food, Sunday brunch…it feels like all we did! The good news is I have some great Orlando spots to share. Dinner at Bella Tuscany  Bella Tuscany is in the Windermere area which is right outside of Disney, so I highly recommend venturing out there for dinner if you are ever visiting the parks. This was only our second time eating there but it’s quickly become a favorite. The food is incredible! And there are plenty of gluten-free options which is rare for an Italian restaurant. The menu is seasonal with daily specials and you can tell immediately that they are original, handmade […]

Favorite Florida Beaches

Living in Orlando, we are fortunate to have a huge selection of beaches to enjoy. With 4th of July coming up, we will definitely be spending it enjoying the water and sunshine and it got me thinking about some good beaches to head out to. These are my favorite beaches for a weekend getaway or to spend the day. 1. Siesta Key Beach As I’ve mentioned before, this is my favorite beach! Many people agree because it has been voted America’s #1 beach. The beach itself is gorgeous, white sand and clear water with lots of activities/rentals. It’s a perfect place to spend the weekend or a few days because they also have a village with fantastic restaurants and shops. I will continue to rave […]

The Sanctum Cafe

This weekend I had the opportunity to try a spot I have been dying to get to: The Sanctum Cafe near Downtown Orlando. My friends have raved about their coffee and gluten-free options so it has been on my radar and I finally got a chance to see what it was all about. According to their website, they are a one stop shop in Orlando for delicious coffee, espresso & tea, non-GMO and Organic Food, Craft Beer & Wine, & what have been described as “the best freakin’ smoothies in the whole world”. They’re a vegetarian restaurant with most options being vegan and the majority of the menu is also gluten-free. They were founded on the idea that healthy food can also be wildly well […]

3-Day Weekending in Siesta Key

There is a reason that Siesta Key has been voted America’s #1 Beach – such a great place to spend a long weekend. It’s a beautiful beach with tons of activities, the most delicious places to eat, great happy hours and a large supply of vacation rentals for both couples and families. We’ve been a few times and love going back. This past weekend we stayed with my family for a long weekend celebrating my sister’s 14th birthday and although we had some unfortunate and uncharacteristic rainy weather it was still a great trip! Where We Stayed  You MUST stay in Siesta Key Village – it’s the best part of the Key! We always stay in this area when we go, it’s on the tip […]

2017 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival

This weekend was a busy one! The weather was absolutely perfect and I took full advantage. Saturday morning I was up bright and early to volunteer and then spent the rest of the day with friends at Disney. First, we had lunch at The Boathouse at Disney Springs. So yummy and relaxing sitting on their outdoor patio. Then, we headed to Epcot for their Flower and Garden Festival! This was my 2nd trip to the Flower and Garden Festival this year and I had a lot more time to spend and see all of the beautiful pieces of Garden art! They also had some neat chalk art and a wonderful butterfly garden! I think I may enjoy this even more than their Food & Wine […]

Artsy Weekending

We have a pretty neat art scene in Central Florida and there is always festivals popping up here and there. This weekend was all about soaking up the art! Saturday I spent the morning at the Epcot Flower & Garden Festival. It’s truly amazing what they are able to create! My favorite was definitely the Beauty and the Beast pieces. I didn’t have much time to spend but plan on going back before the end of the festival. I spent Sunday afternoon at the Winter Park Art Festival. Good friends, frozen lemonades, lots of food and rows and rows of art! It’s a really cool local festival! Do you have any unique art festivals in your city? I’d love to hear about them! Linking up […]

Adventuring Through Boston

I had an opportunity to explore a new city in September and it did not disappoint! Jeff and I had never been to Boston so when his sister moved up there this summer we took the first chance we could to go up and visit! What I loved about Boston: The History. It’s just a really cool feeling to walk on streets that American legends walked on too. The Weather. Fall is a great time to visit the northeast. A cool breeze and sunshine…it was a wonderful break from the Florida heat! The Food! Travelling and eating out on a gluten-free diet isn’t always the easiest but the food was delicious every place we went and it was overall a VERY gluten-free friendly city. My favorite […]

Long Weekending in Savannah

This weekend Jeff and I spent a long weekend away in Savannah to celebrate our 5-year dating anniversary. It was my first time in Savannah and I really enjoyed it. We stayed at a B&B, which was a lovely experience and it was so nice to spend some quality time together. We headed up early Friday morning and our first stop was a round of golf at Bacon Park Golf Course. It was perfect weather for golf (much better than the Florida heat). After enjoying our time out on the course, we headed to The Amethyst Garden Inn to check-in. We were  greeted warmly and the old Victorian mansion was beautiful. Our room was perfect for us and I really enjoyed staying here throughout the weekend. There […]
