A Fairytale Wedding

This week, my cousin got married in a beautiful ceremony followed by a magical reception at Disney’s Grand Floridian. The evening was filled with so much love and happiness and the whole family had a blast spending time together and celebrating this wonderful marriage! Throughout the weekend, while the bride and groom were busy getting ready for the big day, all the guests got to run around Disney and do a scavenger hunt! It was so much fun! Monday was the wedding day! Alicia looked like a real life princess!  Then came cocktail hour…it was a gorgeous day to sit out by The Lagoon. Everybody was looking snazzy! Finally it was time to celebrate the newlyweds! We laughed, we hugged and we danced the night away! […]

My First Birchbox Review

I finally decided to jump on the subscription box train and order my first Birchbox. I have been getting more and more into makeup and skincare in the last year or so but I still rarely branch out of my comfort zone. So, I love the idea of getting to test out a bunch of new products for only $10 a month. I ordered my first box in mid-September but I didn’t get it until October 3rd. I guess it takes them a while to process and ship your first box but usually they come at the beginning of the month because I got my October Birchbox around the 10th. I basically got two in the same week which was fun, I like the fact […]

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! I’m so excited that we’ve made it to the weekend, especially since I have a four day weekend thanks to my cousin’s wedding on Monday! Here are some of my favorites from this week: 1. Favorite Verse “For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord.” -Ephesians 5:8-10 Lately I’ve been faced with decisions on what paths I should take. Like starting this blog, for example. I wanted to start a blog for a long time but I had so many doubts. I wondered would I […]

Recipe: Crockpot Beef Stew

Who doesn’t appreciate a good crockpot meal on a chilly evening? It’s the best feeling ever when you’ve had a long, tiring day and you walk in the house, catch a whiff of deliciousness and remember that dinner is already made! You can kick off your shoes, sit back and relax with a bowl of something warm like this Crockpot Beef Stew!   What you need: 1/2 cup flour salt & pepper 2 lb lean beef stew meat (such a chuck roast), cut into bite-sized pieces 2 tablespoons olive oil 2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced 1 medium yellow onion, peeled and chopped 1 can (10 oz) cream of mushroom soup 1 package dry onion soup mix 10 oz milk 1 lb potatoes, peeled and […]

Travel Bucket List(s)

I have a serious case of Wanderlust. There is so much out there in this great, big world that I want to see and I’ve seen so little of it. Travelling is so exciting to me, whether it’s a weekend getaway or a longer trip. I get a rush from stepping on a plane and feeling like an adventure has just begun (once I get through that annoying security.) I think that my love of travel comes from the memories I have travelling with my grandparents when I was younger. Of all of the things I can remember about them, my trips with them stick out the most. We flew to Detroit many times where their families lived and it was so much fun to […]

A Well Balanced Weekend

Sometimes you just need one of those weekends that are the perfect balance of relaxation and productivity. If you’re like me, and most people I know, you get in the habit of cramming so many plans into the weekend that you’re exhausted come Monday morning, sitting at your desk on your third cup of coffee, wishing you took a little more me time on your “days off”. After our busy weekend last week at the Epcot Food & Wine Festival, I really needed to catch up on errands and house work and give myself a little break. Friday Night, I caught up on Fall TV. As soon as I got home from work it was sweatpants, bed and DVR time. Let me just say, I […]

Recipe: Pear-Apple Spiced Muffins

I usually have a smoothie for breakfast but now that I’m officially obsessed with Fall I’ve been craving something more comforting in the mornings. So, this week I made these Pear-Apple Spiced Muffins. They’re a perfect snack for anytime in the day and they go great with a Pumpkin Spice Latte!

A Family That Drinks Together, Stays Together!

Loving all things Disney is sort of a requirement in my family. This past weekend we had a short staycation for the Epcot Food & Wine Festival. Even though I only live about 45 minutes away from the parks, I love taking a weekend here and there to stay on property and get the full Disney experience. I was really excited for this trip because a big group of my family was going and the Food & Wine Festival is one of my favorite events!

Fall 2015 Bucket List

“Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.” – F. Scott Fitzgerald It’s officially the first week of Fall! It’s my absolute favorite time of year! Living in Florida, we don’t get a true Fall season. The leaves don’t change colors and it doesn’t get too much cooler but we do get a break from the 100 degree weather and I definitely participate in all things Fall! I love pumpkin spice EVERYTHING, dark nail polish and football! Not to mention, the Holidays are right around the corner and I can totally rock jeans, boots and scarves! Jeff and I have moved around this time every year for the past few years and this year we are finally staying in the same […]

Turns Out Being An Adult Is HARD…

I’m having a quarter-life crisis. I’m a little over a year out of college and not so sure I’m sold on being an adult. Why, you may ask? For starters, there’s that working nine to five everyday thing. There are definitely too few days in the weekend and too many in the week, am I right? And I don’t know about you but my job isn’t nearly as glamorous as I pictured it would be when I watched 13 Going on 30. Then there’s those pesky little things called bills. Responsibilities, ugh. Finally, there’s that question I feel like I keep asking myself: What’s next? Up until now, my life was full of little goals that I could actively work to accomplish every day. Study […]
