Confessional Thursday

It’s time for a good ole’ round of confessions! I confess… There are so many changes among my friends right now, everyone is having babies and moving to the suburbs or far away for work. I’m not ready for it all! I don’t want to adult and I don’t want them to either! 🙁 I’ve been a bad fur mama lately…work schedules have been intense and the pups are going stir crazy having much more time home alone. I’ve been leaving them out in the yard longer when I’m home at night but discovered today that they dug a hole under the fence to the neighbor’s yard….oops. Jeff only found this out when he couldn’t find Kona and just her nose was sticking out from […]

St. Patrick’s Day in College vs. Today

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Today is one of those days that makes me miss college. A couple of years ago, this holiday was great fun but today it’s really just a Thursday. I may get festive and have an Irish themed dinner but that will probably be the extent of it. So it got me thinking about St. Patrick’s Day in college vs. St. Patrick’s Day in the real world… In college I would definitely dress the part – Everyone Loves An Irish Girl via GIPHY Today – Busy thinking about work when I got ready so I forgot to wear green…please don’t pinch me. via GIPHY In college I would probably stay out all night, and sleep the whole next day. via GIPHY Today my normal […]

101 in 1001

Visit 5 US cities I’ve never been to before. (0/5) 4. Go on a ski/snowboarding trip. 5. Take a road trip. 6. […]

21 Things Gilmore Girls Taught Me About Adulting

Gilmore Girls has to be one of my favorite shows of all time and if you haven’t heard the news Netflix is reviving the series! I’m ridiculously excited. Who doesn’t wish they could be a little bit of both Lorelei and Rory or live in Stars Hallow? Seriously, my life goals. I spent many hours watching that show (every single episode) and here’s what I learned: Sadly, Mondays are unavoidable. And coworkers can be the worst… But that’s what coffee is for! And you should never, ever stop drinking it. Junk food can be the best kind of therapy. And it’s okay to develop real feelings for your favorite TV shows. Sleep is also very important. Always appreciate your quirky best friend. They keep things […]

Turns Out Being An Adult Is HARD…

I’m having a quarter-life crisis. I’m a little over a year out of college and not so sure I’m sold on being an adult. Why, you may ask? For starters, there’s that working nine to five everyday thing. There are definitely too few days in the weekend and too many in the week, am I right? And I don’t know about you but my job isn’t nearly as glamorous as I pictured it would be when I watched 13 Going on 30. Then there’s those pesky little things called bills. Responsibilities, ugh. Finally, there’s that question I feel like I keep asking myself: What’s next? Up until now, my life was full of little goals that I could actively work to accomplish every day. Study […]
