June Goals

Okay, every month I write down my goals and I think “I got this! I’m going to finish all these in a few days!” Suddenly, it’s the last week of the month and I realized I completely put them on the back burner and got way too caught up in life. That is definitely what happened in May, I’m not even going to recap my May Goals because only a little progress was made (mainly the fun one – getting a massage) and I’m resetting most of them. In my defense, I did just change jobs so most of my focus was on that this past month. I do feel like I’m starting to find a good balance in life lately between work, working out, […]

May Goals

Have I mentioned I’m really excited May is here!? I’m past all of the event planning that April entailed, I’m making some big changes this month anddd it’s our anniversary month! It’s going to be a good one! Before I share May goals, here’s how I did in April: April Goals Have a successful golf tournament. Done! It all went very smoothly and I can’t wait to see how much we raised! Meet my $1000 goal for the Walk For Life. I didn’t quite raise my goal but I am  very happy with all of the support I received and it was a great outcome overall! The walk was an incredible success! Send clothes to ThredUp and post some on Poshmark. Kept putting this off…oops. Plan a trip […]

5 Things I Want to Accomplish in April

I know it’s already halfway through the month but I was in LaLa land for the beginning of the month so I’m just getting around to sharing my goals for April. First, here’s how I did in March: March Goals Complete the Whole30 program. Never gonna happen. Here’s why the Whole30 program is not for me. Clean out closet. Check! This was a big help in getting my life more organized! Finish a book. Check! I finished a book I had checked out of library forever and listened to a bunch on Audible. Here’s some recent book reviews. Finish the Harry Potter movies. Done! I get to cross it off my 101 in 1001 now. And I finally know how the saga ends. Get my […]

March Goals

This year is already going by way too fast! Does time just go faster and faster every day? I don’t know what’s going on! I can tell you that I do want March to go by quickly though because I’ve decided to do Whole30, I’m 10 hours in, STARVING and can’t wait for it to be over! But before we get to that, let’s check-in on my February goals… February Goals  Meal plan on the weekends and try a new recipe each week. I managed to accomplish this even though we still ate out way too much. Win a FitBit challenge. Sadly, my friends stopped doing challenges so I didn’t accomplish this one. Blogger FitBit challenge anyone? Do my taxes. Done and out of the […]

February Goals

It’s that time again! Goal time! January was incredibly busy and I don’t expect February to slow down much so I’m really trying to hone in on my time management skills both at work and in my personal life. I worked late many nights last month and it was difficult to accomplish all I wanted to but let’s see how I did: Track my steps, water & food intake and sleep habits with my new FitBit. This was an easy one, I’m officially obsessed with my FitBit. I’ve joined a bunch of challenges with friends and it is really motivating me to stay active. I’m also doing a great job of drinking enough water. Small wins! Go to the gym or go on a run at […]

January Goals

Happy January! It’s officially a new year and it’s also my birth month so I’m looking forward to having a great month! I didn’t set New Years Resolutions specifically, I feel like I can achieve more of what I want to accomplish by setting monthly goals. However, there are some areas on want to focus on this year: Being involved in my community – I used to volunteer all the time in my youth group and throughout college but I haven’t done much the past few years and I really want to make a positive difference in other people’s lives. Getting in better shape – Last year was my first full year working full time in an office job and it has not been a […]

December Goals

Whoa baby! It’s December! The last month of 2015. Can you believe it? I can’t…I look forward to the holidays all year long and when they get here all I can think is: where did the time go? Either way, December has to be the best month (tied with January for my birthday of course) and I’m fully in the Christmas spirit. The tree is up, the house smells like cinnamon, I’m drinking hot apple cider and watching Hallmark movies like its my job. I’ve already watched Candace Cameron Bure fall in love three times while it snows romantically outside! I’d say I’m doing pretty well at Decembering so far 🙂 Before I continue on with December, let’s check in on how I did with my November […]

November Goals

Now that I’ve recovered from Halloween Weekend its full speed ahead into November! I love that I have this space where I can set goals for myself and track my progress. Here’s what I want to get accomplished this month: Most importantly, Give Thanks Everyday.  Get some exercise at least 3 times a week and once on the weekends. This whole working at a desk job thing is not working for me fitness-wise. I seriously need to commit to this! Plan for Thanksgiving. Since we are hosting Thanksgiving for the first time this year I have to be organized! I’ve already started meal planning but I still have a lot to do. Finish my Fall Bucket List. I’ve crossed a few things off but I […]

Travel Bucket List(s)

I have a serious case of Wanderlust. There is so much out there in this great, big world that I want to see and I’ve seen so little of it. Travelling is so exciting to me, whether it’s a weekend getaway or a longer trip. I get a rush from stepping on a plane and feeling like an adventure has just begun (once I get through that annoying security.) I think that my love of travel comes from the memories I have travelling with my grandparents when I was younger. Of all of the things I can remember about them, my trips with them stick out the most. We flew to Detroit many times where their families lived and it was so much fun to […]
