Show and Tell Tuesday: Grown Up Parties

When I saw that today’s topic for Show and Tell Tuesday was parties I couldn’t pass up the chance to link up! I LOVE planning and hosting parties to celebrate friends and family. Two of my favorite parties I’ve helped to host in the past year were my best friends baby shower and a family friends bridal shower. For both of these, I was co-hosting. I had two other friends to help me with my best friends baby shower and I was helping my mom out with her friends bridal shower when she was MOH. That’s seriously the best way to do any party, many hands make light work! And it’s more fun too 🙂 Baby Boy Shower   Game Themed Bridal Shower

{Wedding Wednesday} Our Engagement Party

I need to rave for a moment about how wonderful both mine and Jeff’s families are! I feel so lucky to have had both our families support our relationship with so much love, encouragement and excitement throughout our years together. Jeff’s parents have always treated me like one of their own children and I know he feels the same way about mine. They also get along great and it makes me so happy to bring everyone together! A couple of weeks ago, Jeff’s Mom threw us an engagement party and both of our families were there to celebrate with us! (I’m just getting around to posting pictures because it’s been a crazy few weeks) It was a blast! There was a lasagna bar, wine, lots of […]

Weekending: Oh Hey May!

I’m so excited it’s May and the stressful month of April is gone! I’m linking up with Biana for a quick little weekend recap. On Friday, our golf tournament at work was a success and I survived! I got there at 5am and spent over 12 hours running around in the HOT sun so I was pooped! I went to bed the second I got home! Saturday morning was another early morning for the Walk for Life, a walk benefiting True Life Choice organization. I’ve been volunteering my time to help plan this over the last few months.  It was a huge success for a ministry that I’m so proud to support so I’m over the moon that it turned out so well! Saturday afternoon […]

Super Bowl Party Planning Ideas

I’m really excited about the Super Bowl this year! I have been a Peyton Manning fan as long as I can remember and I really want him to end his career on a good note. For the Superbowl, I much prefer house partying rather than going out and fighting the crowds. I’m linking up with Jenn for What’s Ha-“Pinning” Wednesday to share all of the cool ideas I’ve found for the Super Bowl! First up, I have always wanted make a Snackadium. Check out this Buzzfeed list of some pretty awesome ones! Some of them go way above and beyond! Hamburgers and hot dogs are pretty much a must for the big game and these chili dogs look delicious! This DIY goal post seems easy […]

Ringing in the New Year!

This weekend was all about celebrating the start of 2016 and getting my life back in order to return to work after a busy Christmas week, an unexpected trip to NYC and partying on New Year’s Eve. After two weeks away from the office, half of me is ready to get back to some structure and routine but the other half is dreading going back to work. My sleep schedule is also way, way off so I will be having a love affair with the break room coffee machine this Monday morning. I’m sure I’m not the only one who will be having a hard time getting into the swing of things this week though so onto some New Year’s Eve party photos! We celebrated NYE […]

December Weekending

The first weekend of December has came and went already…it was way too short! But full of fun! Friday night, I met some girlfriends for dinner and drinks at Bonefish Grill. I was a bad blogger and didn’t take any pictures but it was delicious as always, especially my favorite: the Bang Bang Shrimp. Saturday was the party that we look forward to all year long. Jeff’s Mom always kicks of the season with an awesome Christmas party and this year was no disappointment! We had a great time and took our annual photos in front of the tree. Sunday was mostly a recovery day. My sister Abby came over (who as you can see above is looking more and like a teenager everyday it’s […]
