Favorite Florida Beaches

Living in Orlando, we are fortunate to have a huge selection of beaches to enjoy. With 4th of July coming up, we will definitely be spending it enjoying the water and sunshine and it got me thinking about some good beaches to head out to. These are my favorite beaches for a weekend getaway or to spend the day.

1. Siesta Key Beach

As I ve mentioned before, this is my favorite beach! Many people agree because it has been voted America s #1 beach. The beach itself is gorgeous, white sand and clear water with lots of activities/rentals. It s a perfect place to spend the weekend or a few days because they also have a village with fantastic restaurants and shops. I will continue to rave about this place!

2. St. Augustine Beach

Another great place to spend the weekend is St. Augustine, there s tons to do and see in the historic town and beautiful beaches to relax at. Their beaches tend to be quiet and not too crowded.

3. Cocoa Beach/Port Canaveral

Space Coast beaches are a great place to spend the day. It s a quick drive and easy to get in and out of. One of our favorite spots is Jetty Park campground where you can park and have access to the fishing pier, bait shop/concessions, bathrooms, grills and pavilions. While relaxing on the beach you can also see all the cruise ships leaving the port which I think is pretty cool.

4. St. Pete Beach

A gorgeous gulf beach with lots of really nice hotels and resorts to stay at. Ideal for families or couples, they offer a lot of beach activities, cabana rentals and drink packages.

5. New Smyrna Beach

This is another beach we can head out to for just the day. The great thing about it is you can drive your car right on to the beach for easy access to everything you could possibly need!

What s your favorite beach spot?
