Friday Favorites: Cold & Rainy Edition
Happy Fri-Yay!! This week has flown by but it has been raining for days so I’ve been stuck inside most of the time. So I’m doing a special edition of Friday Favorites and sharing all my favorite things to help me enjoy the cold and rainy weather!
Comfy Clothes
Give me my sweats or some yoga pants and a tshirt and I’m good to go. When it’s raining all day and I’m stuck in my work clothes at my desk I cannot wait to get home and change into comfy clothes. I change the second I get home and I practically live in my PINK Boyfriend Pants or yoga leggings. I don’t care how basic it is, comfort is key!
Fuzzy Socks & Slippers
Another thing I can’t wait to do at the end of the day is kick off my heels and throw on some fuzzy socks or slippers. I actually don’t think I own a pair of “regular” socks – I only need them for my tennis shoes when I’m working out and in that case, I steal Jeff’s ? – bright and fuzzy socks (the sillyer the better) make me so happy!
Hot Tea
Who doesn’t want a warm mug of anything on a cold day? Coffee, hot chocolate, hot apple cider – I love them all, but my go-to on a cold night is hot tea. I want a giant collection of teas, and I’m slowly getting there! Right now, I’m still obsessed with the Trader Joe’s Candy Cane Green Tea and I’m loving the Gingerbread tea I got in my Christmas stocking! And TAZO Passion Fruit tea is always a favorite. They’re all caffeine free so it won’t keep me up at night after all the coffee I drink all day.
Movie Nights
When it’s cold and raining out, all I want to do is curl up under a blanket and watch movies. I’ve been all about movie nights lately. Jeff and I watching the entire Harry Potter series because I never saw the last few movies and he has never seen any! *gasp* We’re currently on the fourth movie and I forgot how much I loved Harry Potter! I’ve also had some fun Netflix chick flick nights with the girls. I finally watched Serena, even with the bad reviews I couldn’t miss a J Law/Bradley Cooper movie but I see where the bad reviews came from…and I watched Peace, Love & Misunderstanding which was a little weird but pretty funny.
Soup and more Soup!
I love all the soups, I don’t discriminate! I don’t think I’ve ever had a soup or chili I didn’t like, it’s definitely a comfort food for me (especially Tomato Soup). I hardly make my own though, I usually order it at a restaurant or go through the Panera drive through. So, I’ve found some Pinterest soup recipes I want to try:
Sausage Potato Spinach Soup//Coconut Curry Soup//Baked Potato Soup//Zuppa Toscana
I think I’ll try the baked potato soup this weekend! I haven’t broke out the crockpot in a while!
What are your favorite things to make you feel cozy in the Winter?
Have a great weekend! Stay warm!
