Friday Favorites: TV Christmas Movie Edition

It’s no secret that I’m obsessed with Christmas movies. I watch one pretty much every day in December and as many as I can fit in on the weekends. The cheesy TV Christmas movies are my favorites so I pretty much just keep my TV on the Hallmark Channel or ABC Family at all times. You should really watch them all of them but if I had to pick, here are the 7 TV movies you have to watch this year to get you in the holiday spirit!

Once Upon A Holiday on The Hallmark Channel

A disgruntled princess (Briana Evigan) breaks free from her royal duties in New York City – because NYC is the capital of Christmas movies – where she meets a handsome good guy who has no idea of her true identity. She has her dream “normal” Christmas while avoiding the Royal goons trying to track her down and may just fall in love in the meantime.

Christmas Cupid on ABC Family

A superstar (Ashley Benson) dies in a freak accident and begins to haunt her publicist (Christina Milian) with ghosts of boyfriends past, present and future and guides her love life. It’s one of my favorite modern day Christmas Carol movies.

Let It Snow on The Hallmark Channel

An exec and daughter of the CEO (Candace Cameron Bure) of a resort development company is tasked with visiting the company’s newest acquired resort the week before Christmas. The resort is a family owned Snow Valley Lodge where she is reminded of the joy of Christmas and falls for the cute, brooding son of the resort owners. Candace is the queen of Christmas movies.

Holidaze on ABC Family

A corporate workaholic (Jennie Garth)  travels to her hometown during the holidays to try to convince them to allow her company to build a shopping center in town. While there, she’s knocked out and wakes up an alternate universe where she’s married to her childhood sweetheart.

The Christmas Parade on The Hallmark Channel

A TV reporter in NYC (AnnaLynne McCord) is embarrassed on air and takes off in her car only to crash into a small-town judge’s Christmas display. She ends up stuck in the Christmas loving town to serve the community service imposed by the judge where she befriends a local artist and helps with a Christmas float for the town parade. This movie gets bonus points because one of the Property Brothers act in it!

Holiday in Handcuffs on ABC Family

A quirky starving artist (Melissa Joan Hart) – with a crazy perm – has a nervous breakdown and kidnaps one of her diner patrons to force him to pretend to be her boyfriend for Christmas with her parents. He eventually forgives her for the whole kidnapping thing.

Crown for Christmas on The Hallmark Channel

A NYC – big surprise there – maid (Danica McKellar) is fired right before Christmas and offered a temporary job to be a governess for a difficult Princess in Europe. She develops a relationship with both the little girl and her widowed father, the King, although he is being pressured into an arranged marriage.
