Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! I’m so excited that we’ve made it to the weekend, especially since I have a four day weekend thanks to my cousin’s wedding on Monday! Here are some of my favorites from this week:

1. Favorite Verse

“For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord.” -Ephesians 5:8-10

Lately I’ve been faced with decisions on what paths I should take. Like starting this blog, for example. I wanted to start a blog for a long time but I had so many doubts. I wondered would I be good at it, would anyone read it…but I’m so glad I went for it. If nothing else, I’ll be so grateful one day that I have a place to look back at all of my favorite life moments. As I struggle with what things I should focus on and pursue in life, I remember this verse. It reminds me to pray on all things and  follow my heart. I know that God will lead me to do what is good and right.

2. Favorite Fall Fashion

I’m a huge fan of oversized sweaters like this one. They rival a snuggie in comfort level. Now, if it could only get cold enough in Florida for me to wear a long sleeved shirt, let alone a sweater…

3. Favorite Beauty Product

I’m a loyal customer to bareMinerals when it comes to makeup. I have been using their BB Primer Cream as my foundation for a while now but I’ve been wanting something with a little more coverage. I heard mixed reviews about the bareSkin Serum but I started using it over the past week and I’m really liking it. It gives me the extra coverage I was looking for but doesn’t make my face any more oily, which is what I was worried about. I love finding new makeup favorites!

4. Favorite Song

Ex’s and Oh’s by Elle King

Umm…I’m totally loving this song right now. It’s nothing like my life (I’m a serial monogamist) but when it comes on the radio I totally jam out to it!

5. Favorite News

Why is it that the weirdest news stories always come out of Florida? Last week we had a pet monkey on the loose and this week we finally caught that King Cobra! No wonder the whole country thinks we’re nuts…I’m just glad they found that huge snake, because I wouldn’t want to run into it! Apparently, a lady found it under her dryer while doing laundry….yeap, that would be my excuse to never do laundry again! I’d be too traumatized!

Now that we are safe from giant reptiles, I hope everyone has a great weekend!
