Reflecting on this weekend.

This weekend I had the chance to reflect on all the things I’m thankful for.

I’m thankful for my family. Especially my husband, he is the most wonderful and supportive man a gal could ask for <3 I also have awesome parents, sisters and in-laws. Sorry, I have to brag on them for a second, they’re just an incredible support system. My parents were out of town this year for Thanksgiving so I spent Thursday with my other family (Jeff’s side) and as always it felt like home. Lots of yummy food and good company. Friday night, a few of us went to dinner and a movie – we saw Murder on the Orient Express, my pick, and I thought it was really good! It was a great couple of days with loved ones.

I’m thankful for a Savior who made the ultimate sacrifice which means I get to celebrate this amazing Christmas season! This is my absolute favorite time of year. On Sunday morning we went to church and heard a great message, then we ran some errands and went on a Christmas tree hunt. The first stop was slim pickings but we found a good tree at the second stop. Can’t wait to get to decorating it this week!

I’m thankful for my job. I’m not going to lie, the past few weeks I have complained a lot about work. It was getting a little overwhelming but I am truly grateful for the opportunity. I’ve learned so much about myself and my management style. It’s a lot of work but the bottom line is I’m lucky to have a job! And I was able to have almost a 5 day weekend, just working from home a few hours on Wednesday and Friday. The little break was great for me. Besides the Thanksgiving festivities, I caught up on some blog stuff, did a lot of cleaning, took a few naps, ate a ton of leftovers and spent an entire afternoon reading and cuddled up to my pups. I’m going into the week so refreshed!

I hope your weekend was filled with just as many blessings! Happy Monday!
