Weekending: Orlando Eats

All I can think about from this weekend is how much food we ate! A nice family dinner, a BBQ, late night bar food, Sunday brunch…it feels like all we did! The good news is I have some great Orlando spots to share.

Dinner at Bella Tuscany

Bella Tuscany is in the Windermere area which is right outside of Disney, so I highly recommend venturing out there for dinner if you are ever visiting the parks. This was only our second time eating there but it’s quickly become a favorite. The food is incredible! And there are plenty of gluten-free options which is rare for an Italian restaurant. The menu is seasonal with daily specials and you can tell immediately that they are original, handmade recipes. This time around we had an Eggplant Rollitini appetizer, I had Lobster & Artichoke Risotto and the hubby had Seared Duck with a Vanilla Infused Risotto. I’m not a huge duck fan but he said it’s the best he’s ever had!

Lunch at FireBirds Wood Fired Grill

We’ve driven by FireBirds on numerous occasions and finally decided to try it for lunch this weekend. They have a great weekend happy hour 1-5pm with specials on both food and drinks. You can’t beat that! I needed something light after all the heavy eating all weekend so I went for the BLT salad with Wood Grilled Chicken – love that Smokey flavor! Everything was really fresh. Jeff had fish tacos which has tried pretty much everywhere and said they ranked at the top. We will definitely be back for dinner!

Other than that, the weekend was mainly just relaxing and being productive around the house. How was your weekend?

Your food looks so yummy. I had a great weekend too. Busy and mostly spent with my volunteer group, but also really rewarding.
